Since its inception in 1989 Weber has worked closely with electricity distributors throughout Australia to provide reliable solutions for their underground low voltage network. While the early solutions were based solely on HRC fuse protection, circuit breaker protection is now equally required in the often harsh environment of underground low voltage networks. A key to the company’s success since the beginning is the understanding of the harsh Australian environment and its ongoing testing of assemblies. We work with leading global switchgear brands to deliver quality products that are fit for purpose and are delivered on time. ABB, Schneider, Terasaki and Efen are but a few.
The company’s strong electrical engineering structure is well supported by a production team that is focussed on reducing lead times for customers. Weber plays an important role in the supply chain of several electricity distributors, hence the ability to produce special assemblies on short notice is critical. Today lead-time is a function of availability of components and Weber’s customers’ requirements. Spare production capacity is a critical KPI. This is achieved with close cooperation with the dedicated production team that work flexible hours to suit both their home lives as well as customers’ needs.
